Winning by a comfotable 10 inches Wiley not only beat her own Redwood Empire record of 5-8 but surpassed the highest jump ever by a local female, formerly held by Wendi Simmons at 5-8 3/4. Boys Carrillo's Ryan House took over NBL lead in 100 with his 3rd place 11.31. Panther Hollywood Radford scored a double with 200 (22.59) and 400 (50.31). 400 is a new prep best. El Molino 200 runner Matt McHugh takes over SCL with his 23.59 finish. Viking Regan Masi (1:56.49) and Newman Junior J.K. Withers (1:57.01) had another great 800 dual. Piner Sophomore Dawit Tesfasilassie broke 2 at 1:59.94. Petaluma's Dylan Hosey grabed SCL lead with 2:01.49 6th. Withers ran prep best 1600 before his 800 mark with a 4:20.99 win over SCL leader Ruben Mora-Roman Jr. of Analy at 4:25.13. Viking Junior Matt Fitch won 3200 in 9:50.64. Willits Kelly Clark stole CMC best at 10:35.20 for 20th. Carrillo's Cory Coles lowerd his prep best in 110 high's with at 15.57 2nd place finish, just edging teammate Lee Sandwina 15.58. Casa's Dan Noel tied his prep best to win the 300 hurdles in 40.34. Lower Lake Junior Joseph Noel earned CMC lead with his 11th place 43.95. Santa Rosa High 4X100 team tied their prep best taking second in 43.40. Panthers later won 4X400 in new prep best 3:27.35. Casa Grande lowered their SCL with 3:33.99 5th place finish. Mike Tillinghast topped his brother Matt for only second time this year 14-6 to 14-0 for the win. Fort Bragg's Joel Dines takes CMC lead with his 11-0 7th place vault. Rancho's Richard Jones got off his second best put of the year to win the shot at 50-8. Girls Analy Freshman Tracy Webster topped the field in the 100 at a SCL best 12.42, with SCL rival Corie Stranzl of Casa at 12.45. Webster's 12.42 FAT time crushes the old Analy school record by Shawn Abbott in 1981 of 12.5. It also moves her into the all-time top 10 in Empire. It also makes her the fastest Freshman ever surpassing the old mark of 12.54 by Angela Jensen of Petaluma in 1997. Stranzl also earned a school record. Ursuline's Jen Clouse lowered the prep best for 200 meters to 25.95 for the win over CMC leader Kinyatta Leonhardt of St. Vincent at 26.16. Analy's Ashley Perlman lowered her SCL lead with 26.62 in 5th. Before the 200 Leonhardt topped Clouse in the 400 in a blistering 58.91 prep best to 59.32 for the win. Leonhardt is only the third CMC runner to ever break 59. Kristin Jellison of Santa Rosa became only the 4th Empire Freshman to ever break 60 in 59.82 for 4th. Casa's Ashton LeSieur (61.50) earned the SCL lead with her 10th place finish as Perlman also lowered old SCL best at 61.53. Montgomery's Carina Hendricks (2nd-2:20.63) edged Carrillo's Ashlee Drady (3rd-2:21.60) time for a new prep best. Healdsburg's Kelly Rogers (2:28.31) in 13th now has the SCL lead. 2nd thru 7th, all under 2:23.70, were from NBL. Kimmy Conley (2:21.8 2003) not in race. Conley of Montgomery earned back a prep best with 5:04.86 1600 win. Now 11th all-time. LeSieur's 5:14.30 in 6th grabbed SCL lead, while St. Vincents Caitlyn Pilkington in 11th lowered her CMC lead to 5:27.63. Rancho's Phyllis Blanchard lead the locals in the 3200 at 10:55.00, with Healdsburg's Amanda Atkinson stealing the SCL lead at 12:21.70 in 9th. Panther Deena Stapleton lead locals in 100 hurdles at 16.87 for third as Casa's Alyse Fix lowered her SCL lead to 16.93. Fix placed 5th in 300's at 49.01 for another SCL lead. Santa Rosa girls won the 400 Relay at 50.73 over Analy 50.88. St Vincents lowered their CMC lead to 52.27 in 6th. Casa Grande lowered their SCL lead with 4:17.41 in 6th, Santa Rosa 4:11.89 was top local school in 2nd. Rancho's Melissa Adams soared to her second best jump ever to win the vault at 11-3 1/2. Panther Caroline Templeton grabbed back the prep best in the long jump at 16-11 for the win. Carrie MacDonough of Casa was second at 16-4 to lenghten her SCL lead. In 11th Katie Davis of Lower Lake streched the CMC lead to 14-11. Chelsea Cohen of Sonoma won the triple jump at 33-2. Sonoma's Melissa Van Paris continued her winning ways in the shot at 39-6. Van Paris was near her best in the discus at 3rd in 114-7.
